After harvest, there’s one more essential step before Earthmade produce reaches your kitchen: delivery. This stage might be behind the scenes, but it’s just as important to preserving quality and reducing waste.
From Field to You—Fast
Because our products are grown with living soils and no synthetic preservatives, timely delivery is essential. Farmers typically pack their harvests the night before or early in the morning and store them in coolers to maintain freshness. At Earthmade, we make sure there’s no time wasted between picking and eating.
Farmers Markets and CSA Shares
Many Earthmade partner farms sell at local farmers markets. In these cases, produce is packed with care and often delivered directly to market or to our stores for customer pickup.
Earthmade also considers Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) customers, where produce is packed in reusable boxes and stored in produce coolers until pickup. Customers return these boxes, which are sent back to farms to be reused—closing the loop and cutting waste.
Coordinated Deliveries with Local Farms
If farmers supply our stores directly, they coordinate with Earthmade buyers to schedule deliveries. We offer flexible delivery windows to work around the unpredictable rhythms of farm life—because when nature is your business partner, flexibility matters.
Some farms deliver separately to each store, while others prefer a single large drop-off. For those larger deliveries, Earthmade handles the rest—transporting produce between store locations in an eco-efficient manner.
The Final Step: Gratitude
From soil to shelf, every step of the Earthmade process honors the land and the people who care for it. So the next time you bite into an Earthmade strawberry, take a moment to thank the farmers—and the microbes—for their hard work.
Eat well. Live clean. Farm it Forward with Earthmade.
